The Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme at St. Joseph Engineering College provides an integrated set of learning opportunities for students interested in acquiring skills and knowledge necessary for effectively participating in and managing modern business organizations. The MBA programme is offered in the tradition of scholastic excellence for training for life.
Academic study at the Department of Business Administration is concerned with instruction in a common set of disciplines, concepts and, techniques that address the significant phenomena and problems common to business and other organizations. Bearing in mind that many administrators in the future will work in one of these arenas during their careers, the Department endeavors to train these future role-players at different aspects of management education. The VTU MBA programme is extensive and demanding, and each individual student is responsible for undertaking theoretical, practical and applied project work to prepare him/her for the future challenges.

In a rapidly changing business environment, the department shall strive to embrace continuous learning through research thereby contribute to the stock of intellectual capital and make management education relevant and challenging.
