Dubai crisis is blown out of proportion by the western media

As part of the Special Lecture Series of the Department of Business Administration, St Joseph Engineering College, Mangalore, India, Prof B. V. Raghunandan delivered a lecture on "Dubai World led Recession and its Implications on Indian Economy" on 8th December, 2009 at 2:00pm at the MBA Conference Hall, SJEC.

Prof. Raghunandan spoke on the ambitious development projects of  Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم;, Sheik of Dubai and its implications. The 3 hours session included a video presentation on "Palm Island" and other mega constructions on the sea. This was followed with the discussion on the various factors that could have lead to the present crisis of Dubai Economy.



Prof. Raghunandan was of the view that the magnitude of the current crisis is blown out of proportion by the western media. He concluded the session by emphasising that the current Dubai crisis will not have a great impact on the Indian economy.
