8 Mentos worth Thousand Rupees at St Joseph Engineering College

Inspired by the www.oneredpaperclip.com the students of the second year MBA (HR & Marketing specialization) bartered 8 Mentos worth 50 ps each for products worth more than thousand rupees within 2 hours. In an exercise conducted as a part of SJEC MBA Tutorial on Saturday, September 18, 2010 between 12:00 to 2:00pm at St Joseph Engineering College campus, Vamanjoor, Mangalore. Mr Peter Brian Benjamin, Lecturer., Mr Chaco P. J., Lecturer, and Mr Suraj Francis Noronha, Lecturer, St Joseph Engineering College conducted the exercise.
The students had a practical exercise on negotiation, communication and identified the basic principles of a business. The Final products which the students got were: Yardley, eva and axe perfume, mementos and paperweights, blank DVD’s, harddisk, scissors, folders, coffee mugs, CD Rom drive, sandals, vegetable seeds and other products. The winners of the competition were Mr Shivaraj A V Shetty, Ms Manisha D Kaup, and Ms Naziya and they were rewarded with the products that they had bartered.
